Spiritual Battle Skill – No Fear

When you read the good old story of David and Goliath in the Bible, one of the first thing you notice is that the Israelite army was ‘’terrified’’ of the giant [I Samuel 17:11]. Goliath started and ended each day with taunts. As this continued, it demoralized and diminished the fighting capability of the Israelites. They began to believe in spite of their best efforts, something undesirable was going to happen to them i.e. their defeat.

This is basically the definition of fear—the belief that something is out there that is going to get you and that you can’t do anything to stop it. This fear can manifest itself in many different ways— stress -anxiety-depression, nervousness, worry, dread, hopelessness, panic, insomnia, addiction to drugs ,alcohol and food e.g chocolates, physical health problems e.g. chronic heartburn, unspecified skin rashes, bowel problems to name a few—and can spring up in your life from a variety of sources. Perhaps you experience fear as a result of the environment in which you were raised; you have been maltreated, your family or and friends have made it look normal to be in fear ; you feel like you’re left behind in life- all your friends are getting married and having children- fear of getting old and cant have children; or perhaps you experience fear as a result of trying to conceal mistakes and imperfections in your life; you are ashamed of something you’ve done in the past, and you worry that one day it will be made public and brought to light; you experience fear as a result of trying to control too many things in your life or you realized that most things in your life are out of your control, and this makes you fearful about what will happen in the future.

Fear can get a foothold in your life and begin to dominate you. It can demoralize you and ultimately diminish God’s glory in your life. It can chew away your life, erode your sense of confidence, rob you of sleep, blind you and steal your praises to God.  Fear is a relentless weapon the enemy uses to trap and connect you to himself. And it is one that must be broken through the power of Jesus Christ [Yeshua] our Commander in Chief.

The solution to facing the giant of fear in your life is not by determination but by faith in Jesus Christ. It isn’t so much saying, “Fear, go away,” but confessing, “I have confidence that Yeshua is bigger than this giant and has already defeated it.” In Romans 10:17, Paul states, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” . When you see and hear God in and through his Word, the Word allows you to see and hear that HE is bigger than your Fear. That builds up your faith, and your faith in turn becomes the ‘stone’ that drops the giant of fear in your life. David used the word by faith ‘I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the Israelite Armies… [I Samuel 17:45]’; that word is Jesus Christ [John 1:1-2].

So today, identify the source of your fear and place it in the hands of Yeshua. Remind yourself that with Adonai all things are possible; trust no man but God alone – because you will be disappointed; Jesus Christ will overcome all your Fears [Matthew 19:26]. The love for money will not take away your fear; being content with what you have now will bring Jesus Christ to the scene [Hebrews 13:5]. Yeshua said in Matthew 6:34 that, we should not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself; each day has enough trouble of its own.

Before every battle, there is a briefing or speech by a commander to their troops, however you build courage to follow your leader into a war zone not by the speech but by their fruits [Matthew 7:15-20]. Who do you spend your time listening to? Are they growing your faith or growing your fear? As a disciple of Jesus Christ, the opposite of fear isn’t courage but Faith – Yeshua our commander in chief said ‘’ if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the barren fig tree, but even if you tell a mountain ‘be lifted up and thrown into the sea’ it will be done [Matthew 21:18-22]. Eli (God) has commanded us to be strong and courageous and not to be afraid or discouraged for HE is with us wherever we go [Joshua 1:9]; HE is the same yesterday, today, and for ever [Hebrews 13:8].

Take a moment Brothers and Sisters, and name what is keeping you up at night- grab a pen and write them down, and then offload those cares to the One who has promised to care for you [1 Peter 5:7]. Remember we are not like others- one of our weapons is praise and worship; they are so powerful in breaking any chain of fears attached to our lives [Psalm 56:3]. Don’t spend so much time listening to songs of this world and watching immoral television programs- addicted to social media – these are currently the secret weapons the enemy is using to trap you with fear. ‘You are no longer content in life and want to be what you hear and see’. So, grab your sword against fear -fill your mouth and heart with praise and worship, because you see God’s might, recognize his love for you, and know that he will always come through. Put all your hopes onto our Lord Jesus Christ ,His mercies will never fail, for they are new every morning [Lamentations 3:22-23].

Prayer

I relegate fear to its proper place: into the hands of Jesus Christ today; Eli, my Lord God is bigger than my fears and has overcome. Amen

Spiritual Battle Skill – Repentance

We ALL sin in our thoughts, hearts, what we look at, what we say, do or continue to fail to do. Is it pride, holding grudges, holding  pain of the past- unforgiveness ,jealousy, hatred, accepting things of this world –’immoral sexuality’, ‘immoral relationships’ and ‘immoral wedlock’ contrary to the scriptures [God is Love-so love the people rather than the act], fornication, infidelity, prostitution,  watching pornography ,indulge in masturbation, committed murder- including abortion, [1 Corinthians 6:9-10], may be you talk too much, have anger, tell lies ,show no love to people around you ,Idolatry- modern day Idol worshipping- such as love for money, sex, Internet addiction ,drug and alcoholism – idolising human, such as manager at work, pastors, priests, prophets, wife’s, husbands and even our children just to name a few [Isaiah 2:22]. Repent or you will be overwhelmed in battle. Brothers and sisters take a moment and identify your weakness by reflection [1 Timothy 1:9-11].

Repentance is simply doing all you can to stop or stay away from sin. Without repentance by confession, your sins will not be forgiven by Adonai our Father [Mark 1:4-5]; where there’s sin, the Holy Spirit is ‘grieved’ (is like bad WIFI or internet connection). In a war zone, you need radios, satellite and various system’s to be able to communicate effectively with command and control. So how do you communicate (pray) -without connection (Holy Spirit) through Jesus Christ [Yeshua] to the Father Elohim [God]? [John 16:7-11]. With bad connection or no connection to communicate in a battle you are in danger! [Ephesians 4:30-32].

Our commander in chief Yeshua connects and communicate with us by the Holy Spirit in all our battles [John 14:26]. If your prayers fail to bear fruit is because you still living in sin and not doing anything about it [Matthew 3:8]. Yeshua knows we are weak and ready to help if only we turn to HIM by repentance. The Bible says that ‘no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind…God is faithful; HE will not let you be tempted beyond what you can not bear … [1 Corinthians 10:13].There is no sin that can not be forgiven by our Father Adonia [remember King David, Moses and others], so why are you listening to the enemy -that your sin’s can not be forgiven? If you find it difficult to repent of your sins due to association – delete them off your phones right now, keep these people at a distance and cut ties! – our commander in chief said “And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell [Matthew 5:30].

Personally, I struggled for years with the weakness of lust; I have tested repentance by doing all I could to stay away from fleshly desires; Yeshua saw all my efforts and reached out to help me; by HIS abundant grace, He delivered me from the bondage of lust [Revelation 2:18-29].With the abundant Love from Jesus Christ, HE ‘turned all my scars in my battle to Stars’. All you need is Trust, Believe and have Faith in our Lord Yeshua to come and rescue you. Repentance is playing our part where forgiveness is Gods reaction for our effort. God told Abraham my name is I AM WHO I AM [Exodus 3:14]- The God we serve is a God of Now, He Acts Now, He Forgives Now, He Delivers Now- So stay away from sin Now.

Are your circumstances like hell right now? The simple answer is repent and stay connected with Jesus Christ the son of man, for by HIS blood on the cross at Calvary our sins are forgiven-when Jesus Christ rose from the dead we rose together with HIM-Victory [Revelation 1:5]. However, don’t be deceived that by HIS blood you have the licence to stay or continue to sin. Hell awaits you if you don’t repent Now. You can only be victorious in the battles you face right now by staying connected with Jesus Christ [Yeshua] via the Holy spirit [1 Corinthians 2:14]. Jesus Christ Said in John 15:5 that ‘ I am the vine; your are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.

Prayer

By the power of the Holy Spirit invested in me, sin power over your life be broken as your spirit connects with the truth today in Jesus Christ name [Acts 1:8]. Amen

Spiritual Battle Skill – Humility

What changed angels into demons? The simple answer is Pride! [Revelation 12:7-9]. Our commander in chief Jesus Christ [Yeshua] warns – pride an evil deed comes from within and defiles a person [Mark 7:20-23]. Pride is the number one secret weapon the enemy uses to trap us to himself so able to bring afflictions and setbacks into our lives.

I learnt in the Army that, when a soldier shows disobedience, arrogance or pride, it affects the whole team within (morale) ; on most occasions, not only do the culprit gets punished but the whole squadron (team) gets some form of disciplinary action to enforce command and control. Your afflictions does not only affect you but the closest people around you- especially your family (please take a moment and reflect).

You can never win your battles with pride ; because you create a barrier between yourself and our Lord God [Adonai]. If you aware or been told you have pride, repentance is the key to your breakthrough, or you will end up talking to yourself when you pray -starve yourself for nothing when you fast. Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall [Proverbs 16:18]; one of the deep secrets why you find it difficult to ‘navigate’ yourself from afflictions or setbacks – there’s lack of direction, no leader, no power and authority from Yeshua your sword  for your spiritual battles.

Pride is a spiritual entity that connects you with darkness – When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom [Proverbs 11:2] ;  from the ‘ horses mouth’ the commander in chief HIMSELF  said “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. [Matthew 23:12].

”Pride will connect you to the enemy, but humility will make you an angel- a soldier of Christ” – Raphael Rabbi [RR].

Prayer

Pray with me brothers and sisters – so Yeshua will give us the grace to be humble, understand HIS commands and be broken away from the power of pride in our lives – Amen

The Battle Begins Now

Thanks for joining me!

When I got saved, I thought I’d spend my life walking beside still waters and lying down in green pastures [Psalms 23:2]. I had no idea embracing Yeshua [Jesus Christ] as the captain of my salvation meant I was enlisting as a soldier in the army of God [2 Timothy 2:3].

I’ve since learned that believers are soldiers and Jesus Christ did not come to bring peace but a sword [Matthew 10:34]. I’ve discovered that we’re more than conquerors in Christ, which also tells me ungodly and unseen forces are trying to conquer us [Psalms 43:1], and stop us from entering God’s Kingdom [Daniel 7:27].

Keep this truth in mind: the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy [John 1:10]. Every demon has the same mission. How they go about it – their strategies and tactics – are different. A spirit of fear attacks your faith, for example [ David and Goliath story ] while a spirit of rejection attacks your identity. The enemy is strategic; has a highly organized army, and able to send specific evil spirits against believers to derail them from their kingdom purpose [Ephesians 6:12].

My prayer for you brothers and sisters as you connect with me on this blog, is that, you will gain discernment to identify spirits opposing your life – and the lives of those you love – and develop spiritual battle skills to battle back. Spiritual bondage can manifest in many ways – our spiritual life, health, relationships, marriage, finances, family, education, career and business – but the good news is that victory is ours; by walking in our God-given authority, we can effectively face these battles and win in warfare. Amen
